{"id":524,"date":"2019-06-19T16:51:29","date_gmt":"2019-06-19T16:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2019.karachi.wordcamp.org\/?page_id=524"},"modified":"2019-06-19T16:51:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T16:51:30","slug":"wordcamp-involvement-credo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/karachi.wordcamp.org\/2019\/wordcamp-involvement-credo\/","title":{"rendered":"WordCamp Involvement Credo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"main\">\n<div id=\"primary\" class=\"site-content\">\n<div id=\"content\" role=\"main\">\n<article id=\"post-201\" class=\"post-201 page type-page status-publish hentry\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Anyone involved with WordCamp must read and agree to abide by the following credo:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I agree that WordCamps are meant to benefit the local WordPress community through live events and the broader WordPress community through the sharing of online video and other materials.<\/li>\n<li>I agree that a WordCamp is a casual, locally and volunteer organized event, focused on WordPress and reflecting the local WordPress community it represents.<\/li>\n<li>By officially associating myself with WordCamp as a (speaker \/ sponsor \/ volunteer \/ organizer), I understand that in this role I represent the WordPress project and its values.<\/li>\n<li>I understand that the values of the WordPress project include:\n<ul>\n<li>no discrimination on the basis of economic or social status, race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or disability<\/li>\n<li>no incitement to violence or promotion of hate<\/li>\n<li>no spammers<\/li>\n<li>no jerks<\/li>\n<li>respect the WordPress trademark<\/li>\n<li>embrace the WordPress license; If distributing WordPress-derivative works (themes, plugins, WP distros), any person or business officially associated with WordCamp should give their users the same freedoms that WordPress itself provides: 100% GPL or compatible, the same guidelines we follow on WordPress.org.<\/li>\n<li>don\u2019t promote companies or people that distribute WordPress derivative works which aren\u2019t 100% GPL compatible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I agree that WordCamps are not-for-profit events, organized with budget and funding transparency.<\/li>\n<li>I agree that WordCamps should be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of financial status.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<div id=\"comments\" class=\"comments-area\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<footer id=\"colophon\" class=\"site-footer\" role=\"contentinfo\">\n<div id=\"footer-widgets\">\n<div id=\"footer-widget-1\" class=\"footer-widgets-block\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/footer>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anyone involved with WordCamp must read and agree to abide by the following credo: I agree that WordCamps are meant to benefit the local WordPress community through live events and the broader WordPress community through the sharing of online video and other materials.
